Travellers Notebook Questions – No. 11

IMG_2444Each week we ask our readers a simple question about their Travellers Notebooks and how they use them.

So this weeks question:

What brand/type of booklets do you use in your Travellers Notebooks?

Please include a link if possible in your response.

Please answer in the comments below, although I know a few of you will answer my question on Facebook.

Is there a Question you would like to ask our readers about how they use their Travellers Notebooks?

Happy New Year to all our readers, I will be back next year with some more posts and reviews for you to enjoy.

QUESTION 11: I have two covers via Start Bay Notebooks. One is A5 the other is A6. Each is generously proportioned [with elasticated moorings] to accommodate up to four interior notebooks.
After trial and error to find the best innards for my needs I settled on the old fashioned Moleskine Cahier products. Their thin card covers avoid excessive thickness and weight whilst the back pocket accommodates ephemera collected along the way.
Each A6 version is used mainly for reminders and random notes and has 64 pages with the last 16 sheets being perforated for easy removal. The A5 type has 80 pages with the last 16 sheets perforated.
I use lines, plain and quadrille [graph] versions according to what’s on offer at the time. The cahier range is more competitively priced than most Moleskine products bt for me … living in a semi-basement apartment on the coast … their biggest benefit is sewn bindings which can never rust like staples or spirals!

Well I use a Midori diary, and I do have a supply of their branded inserts. However, for my day to day note taking etc., I print, cover and staple my own, and usually use grid or dot grid.

Other than the Yellow Paper House calendar inserts I buy, I use cheap 5″ x 7″ notebooks I can find in the stores locally. The abundance of said cheap notebooks is the main reason I switch to the B6 size.

I use mostly Midori. It fits what I need it to do perfectly, and it works with my amazon prime free 2-day shipping. I also have a chronodex printable insert from scription.typepad.com.
