Back in 2015 Van der Spek Lederwaren, the small family company based south of Rotterdam released their ‘Codex’ range of covers in A6 and A5 sizes for Hobonichie bound planners.

At a recent meet up of Van der Spek fans, Petra Van der Spek introduced the new Codex Standard for the Hobonichi Weeks bound planners and similar size notebooks.

The Standard size like the A5 and A6 can have options added to the basic design and is available in a wide range of leathers and colours.

The interior of the Codex features a number of vertical card slots and vertical slip pockets which make it ideal for combining as a wallet/planner. It also has a elasticised pen loop to hold your favourite pen and the optional clasp on this first example holds your planner securely closed.

If you find that a little too daunting because of the huge choice of leathers and colours available, there is a friendly and active Facebook group dedicated to the brand of leather goods, as well as Petra her self who is only too happy to help new and previous customers with their orders.
