Travellers Notebook Questions – No. 10

IMG_2444Each week we ask our readers a simple question about their Travellers Notebooks and how they use them.

So this weeks question:

Who is your favourite blogger or You Tuber that features Travellers Notebooks on a regular basis?

Please include a link if possible in your response.

Please answer in the comments below, although I know a few of you will answer my question on Facebook.

Is there a Question you would like to ask our readers about how they use their Travellers Notebooks?

Happy New Year to all our readers, I will be back next year with some more posts and reviews for you to enjoy.

My favourite Travellers Notebook – Amanda

Today we continue this new series with Amanda

1. What is your favourite Travellers Notebook cover (Make/model/size)?

It’s a custom made TN by Meadowgate Leather on Etsy . It’s based on the Snowbell range, but I asked for the simple slip pocket in the back cover to be replaced with another set of card slots (like the front cover).

The size I bought was the equivalent of Moleskine cahier/8 x 5” – the notebooks I use in it are just slightly narrower than A5 (21cm x 13.5 or 14cm). It has 6 card slots in the front with a slip-pocket behind and the same in the back cover, elastics for 4 notebooks and a pen loop.

The closing elastic comes from the spine (I don’t like the Midori style with it coming from the back cover – it would make it lumpy to write on I think). The holes for the interior elastics are horizontal (unlike the Midori ones which are vertical) so the books sit a nice distance apart when the TN is closed and at the same height. I have added one of the Midori zipper pockets for money – the zipped bit for coins and the slip pockets for paper money.

2. How long have you owned it?

Since July 2016

3. What is it that you like about it so much?

Everything! It’s still got that gorgeous leather smell, it’s the perfect size for me (I find the traditional Midori size a bit too narrow), with all the card slots I can carry both payment cards (bank/credit) and also loyalty cards and my library cards etc. It’s my ‘one-stop-shop’ – with money, diary and a notebook all in one thing.

4. Do you use it all the time?

Every single day!

5. Do you think the design could be improved in any way? How?

Well, I had it made to order so not really. The only thing I would change slightly is the size of the pen-loop which is a bit wide for most pens, but other than that, nothing!

Here are some pictures of it.
